Indian Railways has restarted passenger train operations from 12th May, 2020, initially with 15 pairs of trains (30 return journeys). These trains are being run as special trains from New Delhi Station connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi.

All passengers are hereby informed that downloading of Aarogya Setu App on their mobile phone, that they are carrying along, is mandatory.

सभी यात्रियों को सूचित किया जाता है कि आरोग्य सेतु अप्प उनको अपने उस फ़ोन पे जो वह अपने साथ ले जा रहे हैं  इनस्टॉल करना अनिवार्य है। 

All Passenger to kindly note that on arrival at their destination, the traveling passengers will have to adhere to such health protocols as are prescribed by the destination State/UT. समस्त पैसेंजर इस बात का भी ध्यान रखें कि अपने स्टेशन पर पहुँचने के बाद उन समस्त आदिलेखों का अनिवार्य रूप से पालन करना होगा जो उन प्रदेशों और अधिकारीयों ने आधिकारिक रूप से लागू करी हूँगी। इस वेबसाइट पर जा कर आप चेक कर सकते हो कि अपने स्टेशन पहुँचने पर किन आदिलेखों का पालन करना होगा। 


For trains cancelled till 30th June 2020 by Indian Railways, full refund will be provided automatically by IRCTC. Users need not cancel their e-tickets. Full fare will be credited back into users accounts from which payment was made.

जो ट्रेनें ३० जून २०२० तक कैंसिल हैं उनका फुल रिफंड IRCTC स्वचालित रूप से किया जायेगा। यात्रियों को इसके लिए अलग से एप्लीकेशन देने की ज़रूरत नहीं। पूरा किराया उसी अकाउंट में वापिस आ जायेगा जिस से पेमेंट किया था। 
Catering Service is not available and catering charges not included in the fare.

खानपान की सुविधा अभी उपलब्ध नहीं है और आपसे इसका चार्ज भी नहीं लिया जा रहा है। 
No blanket and linen shall be provided in the train.

ट्रैन में कोई कम्बल चादर तकिया नहीं दिया जायेगा। 

There are Maximum Waiting List Limits in the PRS booking system for which Waitlisted Tickets can be issued after all confirmed tickets are exhausted. Your ticket booking request may get declined as the Maximum Waiting List Limit may be reached in the booking system by the time payment success response is received from your bank. In such case, your deducted amount will be refunded back, without any deductions, to your bank account in 3-5 working days. Inconvenience caused is regretted.

पेमेंट काटने के बाद अगर आपका टिकट नहीं बन पता है ऐसे तमाम ट्रांसक्शन सीट और वेटिंग लिस्ट फुल होने के कारण होते हैं। ऐसी दशा में आपका पूरा पैसा तीन चार दिनों में वापिस आ जायेगा और कोई फाइन नहीं लगेगा। आपको हुई असुविधा के लिए हमें हमेशा खेद रहता है।

When the IRCTC login page opens it gives you an option to login. If you are a new visitor you should create your account first. Instruction to create a new account can be found on the official irctc website itself. Please make sure that all the details that you put in are correct. If you make a fake account irctc can disapprove your account at a later stage without any warning and can file a case against you for false impersonation.

The best thing about the irctc website is that it accepts all major Indian banks debit/credit cards and the payment is also possible via internet banking. I am using the website for the past 10 years and so far I have got no problems except few errors and payment failures. In case your payment is done i.e. amount from bank account is debited but ticket not booked then you need not worry. The system automatically reverses the payment and you get your money back within a week. So if your money is deducted and you didn't get your money back to your account you don't need to worry. Just for few days or about two weeks and even after you have not got your irctc login money back do try to contact irctc customer care.

Update: A great news for the irctc login registration users is that it is working on a brand new more user-friendly website which has been launched through the last week of April 2014. This new site is more robust, fast and gives less errors than the previous one. But as you can see irctc people are more concerned in revenue generation than hassle free user experience that's why the login username and password is in the middle of the page and you to look for it very carefully. For your covenience I have put here a screen shot of the login page.

IRCTC is now improving and has shed some ads to let you login fast by opening their homepage fast but most people think that this will not help in making the website fast as well because number of users are increasing exponentially. As per the railway budget 2013 it was able to handle 120,000 users at any given time.
